Greece has been #1 on my list of places that I want to visit and this weekend we are actually going! Full of history, beautiful sights, and delicious food, I have been dreaming about this vacation for a long time. I am excited to see all of the museums, coliseums, beaches, and culture. Our trip will span Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini..and I can’t wait!
We booked the trip through Great Value Vacations and it couldn’t have been easier. They had a lot of different options for Greece and it was hard to decide. We booked the trip that went to Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and included flights, hotels, all transfers, and ferry rides! All we have to worry about is which restaurant to try next 🙂
We will be staying two nights in Athens, where we’re planning on seeing as much as possible by walking around. If time allows for it, we may rent a car and drive to areas like Delphi and just outside of Athens. Then we’re off on a ferry to Mykonos for three nights on this beautiful island. We don’t have any set plans while we’re here other than wondering around and seeing everything we can. After Mykonos, we’re on our way to Santorini for another three nights! I am so excited to see all of the white building with blue roofs that have become so synonymous with the island. I’m hoping to go on a catamaran for a day, hike around, maybe go to a vineyard…I don’t know! If you have any recommendations for activities or restaurants, let me know! I want to try it all!
This part has been the hardest part of getting ready for this Greece adventure. After looking at the weather, I am expecting to be a high of 80 degrees and lows in the 60’s. I am trying to fit everything into my backpack to make it easier to carry around as we visit the different areas. Stitch Fix has been a great help! I scheduled a couple of boxes stating that I had a trip planned and the stylist definitely delivered! Everything was perfect and I ended up keeping it all!
Currently, I have a mix of 9 different tops ranging from 3/4 length sleeve loose fitting shirts, a few casual tops that will be good for hiking, and a couple of long sleeve shirts. Then I decided to keep the bottoms at a minimum with a few shorts and one pair of jeans. I definitely packed some dresses to change into in the evenings or just for day trips. Then there comes the shoes. I have one pair of sandals, Toms, casual sneakers, and hiking boots. BUT HOW DO I GET IT ALL TO FIT!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 🙂
Okay, I’m off to go through my pack one more time and make more lists. Lists always calm me down a little, but I still end up forgetting something! Greece is my dream vacation and I am still pinching myself that it is happening.
Until next post,
